Research

We are good at generating new ideas, finding solutions, creating new knowledge, and applying it to industry. We are leading in both outputs and impact and endeavor to maintain it.

Ongoing Funded Research Projects:

1. "Next Generation Triboelectric Nano Generator based Energy Autonomous Textile Fabrics." EPSRC - £1.5 million, in partnership with the University of Glasgow and Atlantic Technological University, Sligo (Ireland).

2. ''Strain Stitch Sensor for wearable garments and other uses, capable of monitoring movement'', EPSRC Impact Accelerated account.

3. ''Nano-based yarning system for developing electronic yarns for enabling the creation of nano fabric for conductive and other SMART applications'', James Watt Scholarship, Ph.D, £150k.

4. "NextGen Textile TENG enabled E-skin for Sustainable Smart Wearables"-EPSRC - £ 80 k  in partnership with the University of Glasgow

5. Investigating the Design and Wearability of Smart Garments in Monitoring Elderly Health and Well-being- The Royal Society Of Edinburgh- Â£5000

6. We explore  Zero-G 3D plasma printing for the next-generation textile sensors in collaboration with Norfolk University, USA, and Space Foundry, USA

7. We are collaborating with Mangalore University on Biodegradable/Implantable textile sensors.

While these initiatives represent collaborative and pioneering research endeavors, our group's scope extends far beyond the confines of these project areas. We are committed to exploring fresh concepts, pursuing additional funding opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and actively sharing our findings through dissemination and publications. We are also working closely with industries.
